Ayesha is owner and artist/ecologist of Draw Your Imagination. She earned her BS degree in Zoology from the University of Texas in 1994, and PhD in Aquatic and Fishery Sciences from the University of Washington in 2005. She has worked as a restoration/estuarine ecologist for 26 years and has expressed herself in batik, an ancient art form that uses hot wax and dye, since 1995. She currently resides in lovely Grand Bay, AL where she works from her one-room studio. She was living in Costa Rica when she discovered more about her love of art, science, music, food and storytelling. Draw Your Imagination began in the cloud forest of Monteverde and lives today on the Gulf Coast.
